Take a stroll through the Borough and Township of Rockaway in the early 20th century. Independent municipalities beginning in 1894, the two towns share a history forged by the iron industry which was reinvigorated in the years prior by the Morris Canal and arrival of the railroads. Now, through a collection of postcards recently donated to MCHS, their landmarks and landscapes, many still recognizable today, are captured in vivid detail.
