Turning Leaves Tour and Tea

September 18, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Join MCHS and Passaic River Coalition for a Turning Leaves Tour and Tea!

MCHS will guide a special tour of Acorn Hall highlighting the newly-opened second phase of our landmark exhibit From the Waist Up: Bodices, Vests & Jackets, 1840-1920 featuring nearly 50 unique and never-before-seen garments alongside hundreds of accessories for men, women, and children. Attendees will also explore the history of the gentleman’s farm, first built in 1853, and the Crane family that called it home for four generations.

Across town, guests can enjoy a sweet and savory afternoon tea at Willow Hall, built for industrialist George Vail in 1848.

Tickets for Turning Leaves can be purchased for $30 per person (pre-payment required). Call MCHS at 973-267-3465 by Sept. 16 to RSVP. Two seatings available (limit 25 attendees per seating). Guests can choose to start with tea at Willow Hall at 11:00, followed by a tour of Acorn Hall at 12:30 OR start with a tour of Acorn Hall at 11:00 followed by tea at Willow Hall at 12:30.
