History Lunch Break: When Millionaires Came to Morristown
February 7 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
Previously a small town in the country, Morristown became the home of men and women whose concentrated wealth totaled nearly $300,000,000 at the turn of the century. These millionaires of the Gilded Age transformed the local landscape, constructing palatial estates complete with private sidings, squash courts, and midnight champagne dinners before disappearing almost as quickly as they arrived. Join MCHS for a trip down “Morris County’s Great White Way” to meet the big names and even bigger homes that dominated this era of opulence. Online program. Reserve your spot today! Registration: $5 (non-refundable). Zoom link will be emailed to the address you provide the morning of the program.
