While MCHS has many amazing photographs of Morris County residents over the centuries, some came to us with no identity. Nonetheless fascinating artifacts of 19th-century life, these enigmatic glimpses into the past can be both relatable and mysterious at the same time. Thankfully a small collection, the unidentified daguerreotypes and ambrotypes below allow us to look upon faces from 170 years ago, although we will likely never know the individuals’ names or stories.
