The Holidays at Greystone

Sunday, December 17 at 2:00 pm

Speaker Grover Kemble, Supervisor of Recreation at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, will discuss his experiences working as a music therapist during the holiday season.

Starting his career as a young volunteer in the 1960s, Mr. Kemble witnessed the positive impact of music and occupational therapy on patients. When Mr. Kemble returned to Greystone in the 1980s as a dedicated and energetic professional music therapist, all took quick notice of the positive outcomes and the music program blossomed.

The holiday season was an emotional time. Each year, Mr. Kemble, as well as other staff, volunteers, and patients wrote, directed, and performed theatrical productions for the entire hospital community. Mr. Kemble will share his experiences, challenges, and successes on Sunday, December 17 at 2:00 pm.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for students, and free for MCHS members and children under 12. Space is limited. To make reservations, click the link to the left, call (973) 267-3465, or email
